"BarChat places child safety as its top priority. Under the policy below, child sexual abuse and exploitation content (CSAE/CSAM) is never tolerated, and any related report is reviewed and acted upon immediately."
1. BarChat's Baseline Safety Architecture
BarChat messages are automatically incinerated approximately 3 minutes after being sent, and we do not store any message content or user identifiers.
Chat rooms do not allow the upload of any photo or audio file of any kind.
Outbound links are also prohibited, except in specifically permitted cases.
2. Policy on CSAE / CSAM
BarChat applies a zero-tolerance policy to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
When we receive a CSAE/CSAM report, we review the reported circumstances and, to the fullest extent technically possible, promptly block access to and delete the room in question.
Any confirmed CSAM is reported, in accordance with applicable law, to NCMEC (the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, USA) and to the relevant authorities having jurisdiction.
